MINUTES of the MEETING of WILLINGHAM by STOW PARISH COUNCIL

Prior to the meeting, 2 representatives from BESS attended to discuss the planning application on Marton Rd and answered questions. Cllr R Buttroid also present.2024/156 Apologies for Absence

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 8th September 2024 were approved and signed as a true & correct

Police crime report received prior. Cllr Buttroid following up on highways issues.

2024/161 Clerks Report

• BKV comp plaque – still looking into this, gathering more details
• Defib – email sent to the playing field committee but no response to date
• Chased up WL again as Register of Interest forms for Cllr Leak & Devine hadn’t been updated on their website

2024/162 CIL Report 2023/24

The CIL report was approved, clerk to send to WLDC and place on council website Resolved

2024/163 Grass Cutting 2025

The requirements for the 2025 Tender were discussed and approved, clerk to advertise with Tenders to be

received at the November meeting.

2024/164 Highways

Normanby bridge hedge; vehicles on Waterfurrows Lane; speed limit on Gainsborough Rd – Cllr Buttroid

2024/165 Solar Farms

No updates to report

2024/166 Willingham by Stow BESS

After the meeting prior with BESS representatives, the council requested a more detailed map of the ‘noise

impact’ and Cllr Buttroid to follow up with LCC Fire Officer report after concerns were raised.

2024/167 St Helens Church

The clerk met with 2 tree surgeons but to date no quotes received. To be added to the November meeting.

2024/169 Volunteers – Thank you gift S137

The village planter is maintained and looked after; the council approved to send a £20 garden voucher as a

2024/170 Cemetery Footpath

The footpath near the entrance has started to ‘lift’. Cllrs to view before the November meeting where it will

be discussed.

1. The monthly accounts for payment & corresponding Bank Statements were approved as a true &

correct record, inc. payments made in between meetings.  Resolved
