2023/117 Clerks Report
- Willingham Patient Participation Group -The council wouldn’t be able to pay an individual directly unless it has the General Power of Competence, which Willingham by Stow does not. Can I check if this is for the medical practice or surgery? My understanding is that Patient Participation Groups are a contractual obligation for GP practices to have in place. If the council puts funding towards this it might be considered double taxation (NHS funding is already been given to the GP to provide services including the PPG and the council is using money from a precept to contribute to the same service).
